This series of Bible Study sessions is based on the book The Message of the Psalms: A Theological Commentary by Walter Brueggemann.

Read the introduction

Wednesday Night Bible Study continues on Sept. 3. Please join us for this series on the book of Psalms.

This study will center on Psalm 14 and Psalm 15.

For our guide, we'll be using the book The Message of the Psalms, A Theological Commentary by Walter Brueggemann. In his introduction to the book, Brueggemann writes:

"The book of Psalms provides the most reliable theological, pastoral, and liturigical resource given us in the biblical tradition. In season and out of season, generation after generation, faithful women and men turn to the Psalms as a most helpful resource for conversation with God about things that matter most."

His book divides the Psalms into three categories:

  1. Psalms of Orientation
  2. Psalms of Disorientation
  3. Psalms of New Orientation

This should be an interesting series you won't want to miss!
